EnSuite Online

The EnSuite Online service provides high speed ethernet network connections to Durham University college bedrooms.  These pages contain a comprehensive guide to the service however a shorter overview is available in our quick guide to ESOL which will help get you started and you can access via the link at the foot of this page.

Service Provided

• 24 hour, always-on*, high-speed connection to the campus network and the Internet
• Access to University networked computing facilities: duo (Durham University Online), central UNIX servers, Library Catalogue, Webmail etc.
• Access to your personal filespace (J:\ drive) on the University systems
• Online support, documentation and troubleshooting
• CIS offers some support for student computers e.g. hardware problems or virus/spyware related issues.

* Network connections are left continually enabled subject to normal network maintenance and upgrades, JANET "at risk" time, quarantine containment, computer misuse prevention and other network management activities. CIS will normally provide advance notice of planned network downtime where possible.
