How to get a Campus Card
All members of the University of Durham (staff, students (full and part-time) and authorised visitors) can use the Campus Card. The Campus Card will have an expiry date printed on it. After this date the Campus Card will not operate as a valid card.
Please note: Campus Cards will only be issued once proof of ID has been provided.
Staff
Staff should collect their campus card from one of the Campus Card issuing offices:
- IT Service Desk, Durham
- Queen's Campus Library, Stockton
Students
All students are required to have a Campus Card, new students who submitted a valid photograph as part of the online enrolment process must collect their campus card from their college (or department, if they are not registered with a college). If you did not submit a valid photograph the timetable for the collection of campus cards is published each October.
Visitors
Authorised visitors to the University are entitled to a Campus Card. A Campus Card is required for the physical access to certain buildings and for use of Library facilities.
In order to obtain a visitor Campus Card, the Visitor Campus Card registration form must be completed and authorised by the relevant person before being returned to the IT Service Desk.
A hardcopy of the form can be obtained from the IT Service Desk, Bill Bryson Library Enquiries, and the Queen's Campus Library, Stockton or downloaded from the link above.

The Visitor Campus Card registration form should only be completed if CIS facilities are NOT required.
