School for Medicine and Health Seminar Series
CIHCR, along with the School of Medicine and Health are participating in the School of Medicine & Health Seminar Series. This Seminar Series launched in October 2010 and normally occur on the first Tuesday of each month. All academic staff within the School and PhD/MD students are invited to attend. The format has been chosen to encourage diversity and integration of different interests within a lunchtime session. Seminars will normally run from 12 until 1:30 pm, include lunch and a talk lasting 30 mins with time for discussion. We will include internal and external speakers and periodically have PhD/MD presentations (2x15 min presentations). All seminars will be in F009 unless advertised otherwise.
We would be glad to receive ideas for speakers and titles which should be accessible and of interest to the general Health and Policy audience. (Talks addressing minutiae of particular methods are not suitable for this forum). Dr Sue Lewis will formally invite all speakers providing guidance about the format: this will include an abstract and brief CV for external speakers.
We, along with the School of Medicine and Health, are keen that an interesting and vibrant seminar series forms part of the life of the School. Thus we will be pleased to receive feedback and ideas for improvements as we go. If you have questions or suggestions for speakers, please channel these through Dr Sue Lewis via firstname.lastname@example.org
We take pleasure in inviting you to join us for the SPIRE (Support and Partnership for Ideas, Research and Empowerment) Seminar.
Lunch is provided. Please confirm if you are able to attend so that we can ensure there is enough lunch to cater for everyone.
