The Centre for Iranian Cultural Studies' (CICS) aim is to facilitate and encourage debate, research and the growth of Iranian cultural studies in the UK. This will be achieved by:
- Facilitating the publication of high-quality studies;
- Encouraging links and exchanges between academics and institutions in the UK and Iran; and
- Hosting seminars, workshops and conferences to bring together the latest research, and to highlight and communicate to a wider audience the richness and variety of Iranian studies.
The CICS' Director is Dr Derek Kennet.
The CICS' Research Dialogues scheme offers postgraduate students at Durham grants to undertake research projects into Iranian cultural studies. Click here for more information about how you can apply.
