Following 11 years working within retail management I returned to academia completing my MA in the History of Medicine at Newcastle in 2006/7. My MA dissertation was entitled ‘A Career Not Without Distinction'? Dr. John Archibald Campbell MD F.R.S. Edin. Medical Superintendent of the Garlands Asylum, Carlisle, 1873-1898'.
