Curriculum vitae
Born in Hamburg, Germany.
From 2002 to 2003 I studied Biology at the University of Greifswald, and from 2003-06 I studied History of Science, Philosophy and Biology at the University of Regensburg, where I was also a senior student assistant for the chair for the History of Science. In the academic year 2006/07 I completed the MA in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at Durham University (MA thesis: Reforming Medical Education: Jakob Henle (1809-1885), William Sharpey (1802-1880) and the Introduction of Basic Laboratory Techniques to Students of Medicine in the Early Nineteenth Century).
I am currently a PhD student of the Department of Philosophy at Durham University.
Awards held:
- 2006-07: Wellcome Trust MA Studentship (Ref. 073374/Z/03/C/AW/HH), worth £ 19,481.
- 2007-10: Durham University Doctoral Fellowship, worth £ 37,800 + tuition fees.
