Top Universities by Subject 2010

In the Independent's Complete University Guide (2010) published in April 2009, Durham Chemistry was ranked 4th out of 48 institutions in the UK.

Prof. Jonathan Steed, Director of the Department's Postgraduate programme, commented that "this result shows that Durham has one of the very best combinations of research excellence, facilities and scientific culture for postgraduate studies in the Chemical Sciences".
