How to register
All students must register for 'Congregation and Parchment' whether attending the ceremony in person or not.
Registration for Summer Congregation 2013 is open until 19 June 2013.
To register for Congregation students must complete the Congregation and Parchment registration system on DUO. (Students on validated programmes will register via their department.) The Congregation and Parchment registration system will enable students to:
- confirm details for the parchment (certificate)
- state whether or not you wish to attend the Congregation ceremony or defer attendance to the next Congregation
- if attending the ceremony, request guest tickets, order robes and photographs
- Doctoral students to confirm the thesis title (to be read out at the ceremony, if attending, and printed in the programme)
See the guidance notes for further details on completing the registration process.
Students are advised to register early and not to wait until the pass list has been published. Please note that extra tickets for guests (2 tickets are guaranteed) are allocated on a first come, first served basis during the registration period.
Students can return to the registration system at any time during the registration period to check or update details or amend ticket requests.
Students who do not complete the registration system will not be allowed to attend Congregation, the parchment will be posted to the last known address and charges will be imposed for any amendments or for redirection.
If you have any problems accessing the registration system contact the IT Service Desk or the Ceremonies Unit.
Deferring your Congregation
If it is not possible for you to attend Summer Congregation 2013 you can select, when registering, to defer your attendance to Winter Congregation 2014.
Attendance Criteria
Pass lists must be published by 19 June, postgraduate research students must submit the hardbound and electronic thesis by 31 May for the pass list to be published by this deadline.
