Research

CeREES is one of the only research centres in the UK to have expertise in all areas of Geoenergy. When the centre began it was focused on Petroleum Geology, but has now expanded to include Petroleum, Unconventionals, Coal, Carbon Capture & Storage, Resources from Waste and Geothermal Energy. Primary energy supply and security issues are at the heart of research within CeREES, tackling the problems that will allow clean sustainable energy supply to be delivered for our planet today and for generations to come.
