Honorary DCL for H.E. Judge Navanethem Pillay Chairwoman of the Centre for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice

On 27 June 2007, during the graduation ceremony for the Durham Law Department's students, Judge Pillay was awarded an honorary Doctor of Civil Law in recognition of her services to international criminal justice.The pictures show her with Chancellor Dr Bill Bryson, Vice-Chancellor Professor Chris Higgins, her legal officer Natasha Naidoo, the Public Orator, Professor David Fuller, and her proposer, Professor Michael Bohlander. The CCLCJ congratulates Judge Pillay on the prestigious award.
