Volkswagen Foundation Award for Centre for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice

The Centre for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice has been awarded a grant of € 26,700 by the German Volkswagen Foundation under its highly competitive programme "Deutsch plus - Wissenschaft ist mehrsprachig". The programme aims, among other things, at facilitating the dissemination of knowledge about important current German publications by their translation into foreign languages. The grant is meant to cover the costs for the translation of Professor Thomas Vormbaum's book on the history of German criminal law, "Einführung in die Strafrechtsgeschichte", 2nd ed., 2011, into English. The translation will be overseen by Professor Michael Bohlander.
