Although new to Castle, I've already developed a deep fondness for the M.C.R. and hope to maintain and promulgate its reputation through working with other members of the Exec. committee to make your time here in Castle a worthwhile experience. Mission StatementMy primary goals as treasurer would be to oversee the M.C.R. finances ensuring we sustain a positive balance, but also to work for you and act as a means to meet your needs. I am particularly interested in investing in not only the long-term, but the short-term as well so members here for one year will reap the benefits of their dues. Furthermore, I fully believe in appropriating funds responsibly and am not afraid to say "no" if funding requests do not benefit the wider M.C.R. constituency. I also greatly value comments, suggestions, and critiques from all members of the M.C.R. on all matters and will open a dialogue with the President, Steward, Social Chair, and other key Exec. members to remedy any fiscal concerns, put forward new ideas, or celebrate the wonderful diversity of our Castle members. If elected treasurer, I hope to make the most out of the 2012-2013 year for you! |
