Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre

Vacancy service

Graduate jobs, internships, summer jobs & part-time positions

The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre works closely with a wide variety of employers in an effort to advise you of the latest graduate opportunities. Vacancies are advertised on our vacancy database, which is part of the online booking system (Student Services Portal). You will find a broad range of opportunities encompassing the public, private and charitable sectors; the opportunities that we advertise are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students but also graduates.  In addition to graduate vacancies, you can also search for internships, part-time jobs and gap-year opportunities. In order to keep you abreast of the latest opportunities, a weekly vacancy email bulletin is sent out during term time.

Access the online vacancy service

To access the vacancy service, which is part of 'Careers Online', you will need your CIS username and password. When you have accessed Careers Online select 'jobs and opportunities'. If you are a Durham graduate please take the time to register your details so that you may access the vacancy service in the same way that existing students can. Once your registration has been approved - this may take up to three working days - you will receive a password enabling access to the system via the 'Graduate Login' page.

Click on this button to search for opportunities.

When you log in to the vacancy database you can search for opportunities in a number of different ways, including opportunity type and business area, using the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. It is also possible to conduct a quick search by keyword or employer.

“The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre's online vacancy resource looks for an exact match to your search, so try searching only part of the employer name e.g. for Barnardo's, search 'Barn' as this will pick up the employer with or without the apostrophe. ”
