Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre

Presentations & Events

One of the best ways to raise your profile among Durham students is to hold an event. We book events throughout the year, with autumn being the busiest period: many final year students return to Durham at the start of the new academic year with the goal of graduate employment on their mind.

Company Presentations

Events which offer students the chance to learn more about the vacancies and career prospects offered by your organisation are always popular. Employers can hold events throughout the academic year but most take place in the Michaelmas term, well before the closing date for applications

Skills Sessions

The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre organises an Employability Skills Programme comprising short courses for each year group. This is an excellent way of raising your company's profile on campus. Independent skills sessions can be also be negotiated for employers wishing to cover other transferable skills.

Drop in Sessions

Usually held at the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre , drop-in sessions are an excellent way of offering students the chance to ask questions and benefit from one-to-one advice in a relaxed atmosphere. We can offer a room to hire within the Careers Service charged at competitive rates (see Room Hire section below)

Mock Interviews

Mock Interviews are always extremely popular with students. The Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre relies on the support of employers able to send a trained interviewer for a full or half-day to conduct these. Mock Interviews are a valuable method of raising your company's profile on campus. Companies conducting mock interviews incur no charge from us.

Room Hire for Recruitment Visits

A room is availble for hire within the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre for drop in sessions or employer recruitment visits. More details regarding the latter can be found on the Recruitment Visits section of our website.
