College Accommodation

College accommodation bookings for the upcoming year open in February 2013, and are processed once you have received an offer of a place on a Pre-sessional English Language Course from the English Language Centre at Durham University.

Accommodation at Josephine Butler College

Rooms are organised into flats of six with a shared kitchen, all Josephine Butler bedrooms are single ensuite, with a shower, sink and toilet.

Each study bedroom has:

  • Computer Network Point (ESOL - EnSuite On-Line)
  • Television Aerial Socket
  • Desk and desk chair
  • Desk lamp
  • Single bed
  • Wardrobe
  • Drawer Unit

Sometimes we may need to allocate students to other Colleges in the University such as Brooks House, part of St Cuthbert's Society, which is situated in the City Centre.

Accommodation at Brooks House

Rooms are organised into flats of six with a shared kitchen, all Brooks House bedrooms are single ensuite, with a shower, sink and toilet.

Each study bedroom has:

Accommodation at a catered College

Every college offers a variety of comfortable study bedrooms. Many rooms are single, others are shared twin rooms. Each college has different types of rooms on offer.

Rooms in colleges have:

  • Computer Network Point (ESOL - Ensuite On-Line)
  • Desk and desk chair
  • Single bed
  • Wardrobe
  • Drawer unit
  • shared pantry or kitchen facilities
  • ensuite or shared bathroom facilities
