Excellence award for Durham Business School

The European journal of manufacturing - Industrial Focus has awarded Durham Business School the title of "Business School of the Year" in its recent "Excellence in Industry" awards.

An independent panel of judges cut the competition down to a shortlist of manufacturing's best and brightest from a record number of nominations and entries received for all categories. Other categories included: Energy provider Business tool Innovator Software provider International freight and logistics provider Commenting on Durham's success the panel said - "The panel was impressed with the fact that Durham Business School is a top ten UK business school (Financial Times MBA rankings 2004) and is the leading business school in the North of England. They are situated in a region that has a strong automotive sector and industrial base. The most critical factor in the award was the MBA distance learning programme which was rated as one of the top 20 in the world in the Financial Times inaugural survey of distance learning and Durham's commitment to embracing diversity."
