DIY Cafe
(9 March 2005)
People Into Enterprise and participants on the latest GLEAM (Graduate Learning of Entrepreneurship Accelerated through Mentoring) programme at Durham Business School are hosting an event entitled ‘DIY Café’ on 15th March at barn@thebiscuit, The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The DIY Café initiative helps young people to come together to develop enterprise ideas. To support putting their ideas into action they plan and host the meal and invite entrepreneurs to be their dinner guests and act as mentors for the evening. People Into Enterprise (PIE) designs and delivers creative, innovative and action-based enterprise learning programmes. Its mission is to encourage an enterprising culture in the region and they seek to nurture the enterprise potential of individuals and organisations to enable them to recognise and exploit the opportunities around them. This project is being supported by Newcastle, North Tyneside and Sunderland Education Partnership as well as Young Enterprise If you require any additional information on the event please phone Alison Tilley on 0845 245 0212, for further information on GLEAM please contact Esther Broughton Tel 0191 334 5725 or email on e.j.broughton@durham.ac.uk .
