Strategy 'guru' shares the secrets of a competitive organisation
(19 May 2006)

At a session at Durham Business School on 18th May, strategy expert Professor Kevan Scholes shared with his audience how to keep their organisation competitive.
The extremely well-attended event examined practical ways of analysing culture in detail as part of the process of developing new strategies for change. Professor Scholes used examples from both the private and public sectors. The workshop challenged and assisted delegates in addressing three main questions:
- What is the current culture of their organisation (both overall corporate culture and distinctive differences between parts of the organisation)?
- How these behaviours help or hinder progress on addressing strategic priorities.
- How can behaviours be changed?
