Alcatel Lucent MBA Scholarship Awarded by Durham Business School

(1 August 2011)

The winner of the Durham Business School Alcatel Lucent MBA Scholarship 2011 has now been announced.

Generously sponsored by global telecommunication organisation Alcatel Lucent, the full-fee scholarship was created to mark 25 years of MBA programmes at Durham Business School.

The successful applicant is 30 year old Sebastian Wolfgarten, who is based in Frankfurt. Sebastian will take up his place on the full-time programme in Durham later this year. He comments:  “It was a wonderful surprise and honour to be awarded this scholarship and I am very grateful to Alcatel Lucent for establishing it.

“I believe undertaking an MBA is the right decision for me and thus can't wait for the course to start.”

Scholarship judging panel member Robin Gilchrist (Vice President AMEA, Vodafone GAM, Alcatel Lucent) adds: “We are delighted to award this scholarship. Alcatel Lucent are proactively engaged with Durham Business School through activities such as guest speaker events and student Business Projects.

“I shall be lecturing on at least one of the electives during the coming year and shall look forward to meeting and congratulating Sebastian in person.”
