Our degrees provide a solid foundation of relevant theory and quantitative techniques, as well as the key skills that are sought by employers. Modules are taught by staff active in their field of research; teaching is informed therefore by the latest developments in the subject, enabling us to provide a challenging and stimulating educational environment.
These degrees provide high quality and progressive study routes that enable you to gain an understanding of the fundamental principles.
Whichever Economics degree you read, you will follow a common core programme of first year modules which aims to build a firm and broad foundation for further study:
- Elements of Economics
- Economic Methods
- The World Economy.
In your second and third year you will take options from a wide range of modules and can specialise as your interests develop. You also have the opportunity to extend your course to four years by taking year three as an industrial placement or an international exchange.
