Accommodation
Full-time Postgraduates
All full-time students are members of one of our colleges. College allocation is made after you have received and accepted an offer from the University. Once you have received an offer from the University, our Colleges Postgraduate Office will contact you to provide you with further information about college membership and accommodation options.
Once you have accepted your University offer, you can express a preference for membership of a particular college if you would like to, but this is not compulsory. If you express a college preference and your first choice college cannot give you membership, your application will be passed to an alternative college which has vacancies to be filled. If you prefer not to select a college, we will select a college for you on your behalf.
At this stage you can also apply for college accommodation if you would like to.
Ustinov College
Many MBA students choose Ustinov College. The College accepts only postgraduate students and is the largest collegiate community of postgraduate students in the UK. It is conveniently located near the Business School. (Ustinov College is no. 52 [B10] and the Business School no. 1 [A7/A8] on the University map.) Ustinov College provides self-catering accommodation in single study bedrooms and a has number of 2- and 3-bedroom flats for families.

Please note: if you apply and pay your deposit before 1 July, you will be guaranteed an offer of accommodation in one of our Colleges.
Privately-rented accommodation
If you choose to rent privately, the Accommodation Office will be able to help. Contact them by email at isaccommodation.office@durham.ac.uk
If you 'live out', you can still take full advantage of the facilities your college offers.
