We are one of the longest established business schools in the UK, attracting a diverse range of home and international students. We pride ourselves on teaching the critical thinking that equips you for a successful and rewarding career. We make sure that our teaching and student body tackle the ever-changing issues that business in the 21st century faces.
The teaching experience
Our network of national and international corporate connections means students across all our programmes enjoy regular exposure to real-world business issues, challenges and developments. From our Guest Speaker Series and live case studies, to work placements and consultancy opportunities, students and businesses benefit from working together.
We are one of only a few business schools in the UK to carry three internationally recognised quality assurances – from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Together, these accreditations demonstrate the high quality of our activities – both in the UK and worldwide.
High ranking performance
Rankings show the reputation our courses hold throughout the national and international business school arena. In the recent Economist Which MBA rankings, we came 12th in the UK.
Our research is critical to the quality of our teaching and our reputation as a school. We continue to receive considerable external funding to further our work in economics, finance and management – testament to the excellence of the research output. A recent Research Assessment Exercise noted that 95% of our work was of international quality or above and we strive to better this position year on year.
Connected to business
Our network of partnerships with businesses, organisations and academic institutions helps enhance your learning experience. As a student, you benefit from regular guest speaker events and networking opportunities, as well as placements in businesses and academic institutions around the world.
