Durham University Business School at Ushaw College
Durham Univeristy Business School is currently being extended and refurbished and while the work is underway our teaching activities have temporarily relocated to Ushaw College.
Ushaw College is a beautiful, historic building set in 30 acres of stunning gardens a few miles out of the Durham city centre.
Built in 1808, Ushaw College has a long tradition of teaching and learning. The imposing College was founded as the Catholic Seminary for the North of England. The original College was established by Bishop William Gibson and on 19 July 1808, the first students walked ten miles from Crook Hall to their new College. As far back as 1890, courses at Ushaw College were affiliated to Durham University. And today, continuing its rich history of education, the College is a seat of learning for Theology and Ministry students of Durham University and MBA students of Durham University Business School.
