Biophysical Sciences at Durham
Many of today's major biological challenges, such as heart disease, crop protection and age-related macular degeneration demand an approach that crosses the boundaries between biology and the physical sciences. At Durham University our dynamic, multi-disciplinary research community work to meet this ever-increasing need. The Biophysical Sciences Institute is a focal point for the community and our programme of events introduces Masters and PhD students to world leading biophysical sciences from Durham and beyond.
The Masters in Biophysical Science has been created to bring excellent science, mathematics and engineering graduates to a position where they can start with confidence on a wide range of careers in the life sciences. This is in response to the growing need for graduates who can apply their subject knowledge outside of the traditional boundaries of their discipline.
