30/5/2013 - after a while of the website being down, it's now back to normal. Sorry about the inconvenience.
12/3/2013 - term is drawing to a close, and so there is no more Bridge this term. Have a great Easter!
20/1/2013 - Welcome back! Bridge is on as usual this term, Kingsgate Bar, 7pm on Sundays.
3/3/2013 - tonight's bridge will take place in the Hatfield Kitchen, where we will be playing our usual bridge, but with pancakes. Feel free to bring any toppings.
Additionally, good luck to the team playing in the Kempson Plate tomorrow.
5/02/2013 - Bridge on Sunday will take place somewhere in Hatfield at 7pm. As well as the usual amount of Bridge there will be pancakes!
28/1/2013 - Our B-team travelled to Manchester yesterday for the Portland Bowl playoffs and won! +7 IMPS in the match, which was close and enjoyed by all. Good luck to Durham A in their match against Edinburgh A on February 8th.
26/11/2012 - I hope you all had a great Christmas day, and are enjoying Boxing Day. We'll see you next term!
1/11/2012 - Bridge this week is on as usual on Sunday, 7pm, Kingsgate Bar. There may be mince pies involved too.
Additionally, Black Tie Bridge, a tradition at DUBC, will be held next Saturday 8th December at Sarah's house: 22 Wynyard Grove, DH1 2QJ. Please let an exec member know so we know how much food to cook, make etc. Also feel free to bring drinks or buy some as there is a Sainsbury's across the street. See you there!
20.11.2012 We'll be meeting on Saturday at 8.30am for pancakes, and an informal system discussion (yes, even I didn't know there was such a time). Ring Anthony if you're interested (his number can be found in this week's email, or by emailing him) as we need to know approximate numbers for ingredients.
In addition, we'll be going to Durham Bridge Club again on Tuesday, depending on numbers. Again, contact Anthony if interested.
28.10.2012 As always, Bridge will be held in Kingsgate Bar at 7pm. We'll be taking membership money down at the session so please bring some down. £3 for yearly membership or £6 for life. You also get a nice shiny card to go with it!
We'll also be mounting an expedition to Durham City Bridge Club on Tuesday. They are really friendly people and table money is pretty sweet (£1). Contact Anthony if you're interested.
14.10.2012 Bridge this week will be held at Kingsgate from 7pm tonight. See you there!
07.10.2012 The DSU has messed us around with room bookings, so bridge this evening will take place in St Chad's college from 7.15pm. We'll likely be in the Williams library, but someone will be waiting outside the college to direct people. We'll return to the normal venue (Kingsgate) from next week.
02.10.2012 We now have a venue sorted for the first session, and the forseeable future. We'll be meeting at 7pm on Sunday in Kingsgate Bar. See you then!
25.09.2012 We're still waiting on confirmation of the venue, but the first bridge of term will be happening on Sunday 8th October, 7pm as always. See you there!
01.09.2012 Hey there! the new, updated Bridge Club website is now live (although I didn't need to tell you that, as you're looking at it ;P). If you're looking at this website because you're a fresher thinking about learning to play Bridge, then I'd strongly suggest popping in for a few sessions to see how it goes. We can always use new players!
If you're a returning student, or even somebody who's stumbled across this website, then hopefully the change should make this website easier to navigate, easier to read and easier to update.
