Outlined below our examples of the typical workflows for gel based and non gel based proteomic experiments and how the facilities, instrumentation, and expertise fit these workflows. However many aspects of each workflow can be adapted and in particular both mass spectrometers can operate on single sample analyses or coupled to LC systems for complex multi sample analyses.
