Preparation of Araldite CY212

Warning: all epoxy resins can cause dermatitis and may be carcinogenic.  They should therefore be handled in a fume cupboard and gloves must be worn.

Araldite CY212   10ml

D.D.S.A               10ml

B.D.M.A              0.4ml

Warm all components in 37^oC oven before use.  Add components in a plastic beaker and stir with wooden stick.  Ensure mixture is stirred well to ensure an even polymerisation.  The mixture can be warmed again before use to make transfer easier.

Any pipettes / plastic beakers / glass vials / left over resin should be polymerised in 60^oC oven overnight and then disposed of in the resin bin provided.
