Competitions
The club competes in two competition leagues: BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) and NEUAL (North of England Universities Archery League). There are categories for both experienced and novice archers, so everyone has a chance to get involved without feeling outclassed. Transport is provided to all competitions – by Team Durham for BUCS, and directly from DUAC funds for NEUAL matches.
NEUAL – 2011 / 2012
The NEUAL competition dates and locations have not yet all been confirmed, but we do have the weekends they’ll be held on and the clubs involved, which are below. The competitions with a single date are confirmed, with the host uni in bold:
- 12th Nov – York / Durham / Leeds
- 26th / 27th Nov or 3rd / 4th Dec – Durham / Keele / MMU Cheshire
- Dec 10th / 11th : Novice Champs
- 21st / 22nd Jan or 28th / 29th Jan – Bradford / Durham / Huddersfield
- 4th / 5th Feb or 11th / 12th Feb – Durham vs Lancaster vs Liverpool vs Sunderland
- 18th / 19th Feb or 25th / 26th Feb – Durham vs Northumbria vs Sheffield
- 3rd / 4th March - Indoor Champs
BUCS 2012
There are three BUCS competitions throughout the year: Indoor Champs, Team Champs and Outdoor Champs. The date and venue for the Team Champs have not been confirmed yet.
18th February – Indoor Championships, Telford International Centre
16th June – Outdoor Championships, Lilleshall, Shropshire.
