Forthcoming Events:

 

Excursion to Chester 18th - 21st May 2012

Sufficient interest has been shown for this excursion, originally planned for 2011, to go ahead. The guided tour of Chester will include visits to the Cathedral, the Grosvenor Museum, the amphitheatre, the ‘Rows’ and the city walls.  There will also be mini-excursions to Erddig Hall and Chirk Castle, and a talk on the Friday evening by Outgoing Society President Dr David Mason.

The Gristhorpe Man Project: Antiquarianism to Archaeological Science

A lecture by Dr Janet Montgomery of Durham University and Nigel Melton of Bradford University

 

Saturday 16 June

Excursion to Scarborough including a visit to the Rotunda Museum, where Gristhorpe Man is displayed
