Department of Archaeology

Joint Honours with Anthropology

In this course you explore the interplay between the sister disciplines of archaeology and anthropology, and study humans and their societies in both the past and the present. In your first year, your archaeological studies cover aspects closely related to anthropology such as human origins and early societies, as well as a choice of other topics; anthropology similarly covers areas close to the disciplinary boundary. This sets the scene for your in-depth studies in years 2 and 3, which allow you to specialise in the areas of theory and results of your choice. You may opt to do a dissertation in either subject, based on your own research and supervised by a member of staff.
The course code is LF64
