Hodgson Binns Trust
The Hodgson Binns Trust is a £90,000 endowment, newly established in 2009, to support academic research (including Postgraduate Bursaries) in the area of Roman archaeology. The Trust expresses a particular desire to support research on Hadrian’s Wall and the North of England during the Roman period, as well as related studies such as epigraphy and pottery. It may also be used for research on Roman Italy and the study of Roman burial.
For the academic year 2011-12, the Trust has been used to provide a bursary to support an overseas taught postgraduate student studying for an MA in Archaeology (Roman).
