Electric cars and their drivers

I am currently using ethnographic methods to collect qualitative data around people who drive electric cars in the UK. This research will add to the quantitative and technical information already known about electric cars, and will provide a fuller picture to those in industry.

The research will help to give a better understanding of how people use their electric cars on a daily basis, and will provide valuable insight that will feed into the planning of supporting infrastructure.

I hope that the research will help transform the transport landscape in the UK for the better, and enable those who want to use cleaner technology to be able to do so.

This project has been made possible by funding from One North East.

My undergraduate degree was a joint honours degree in Economics and Geography from the University of Hull, and my dissertation looked at the public perception of an urban propoganda project.
