Policy support
The Academic Support Office supports the development and implementation of the University’s Education and Postgraduate strategies. It works closely with the PVC – Education and Dean of Graduate School to develop strategy, and supports and co-ordinates implementation of these strategies through an annual action plan.
ASO also supports the development of the University’s quality management policies and procedures, and the regulatory framework for the University’s educational provision. These are primarily published in the University’s Learning and Teaching Handbook and the University Calendar. Changes to this policy and regulatory framework are regularly communicated to departments through Faculty Education Committees, but in addition an annual summary is circulated to departments each summer.
