The aim of the Centre for Academic and Researcher Development is to provide high-quality and evidence-based professional development relevant to the needs of researchers and academic staff and at the forefront of national and international practice in the key strategic domains of:

• supporting high quality and research-led education;
• enhancing research;
• enhancing the student experience;
• enhancing employability;
• supporting internationalisation;
• enhancing enterprise and entrepreneurship. 

Within these domains, we provide:

• opportunities for initial and continuing professional development;
• consultancy and support to individuals and Departments and Schools on the development of their practice;
• access to resources to enable academic staff and researchers to review and develop their practice;
• opportunities to disseminate good practice
