The usual suspects Evolution surface of the magnetisation

Summary

We have used proton Spin-Diffusion to study magnetisation transport in a lamellar copolymer over distances in excess of 20nm. Our approach includes the use of a modified Goldman-Shen pulse sequence to observe the combined Relaxation and Spin-Diffusion behaviour of the system which can be fully described by a Numerical Model. Complimentary measurements of FID shape and Spin-Lattice Relaxation reduce the number of parameters requiring initial estimates. Iterative optimisation of the model yields a full description of the system and a complete picture of the relaxation/spin diffusion behaviour (as shown above). The method has distinct advantages.

Thanks

We thank Robin Harris for instrument time, Mike Jeschke for preparing the sample and carrying out the SAXS measurements, and Ken Packer and Stefan Friebel for helpful discussions.
