College Fellow Receives IVCA Clarion Award
 
Professor Richard Else, Director of the Durham Media Academy at St Chad's, has been awarded a Clarion Award.  The award was presented at BAFTA on 29 September in recognition of Richard's BBC investigation into nuclear power. The Clarion Awards recognise best practice in communicating the importance of corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, social inclusion and ethical debate.  For link, go to IVCA site.

Prize for College Fellow and Tutor

Professor Fred Robinson and Dr Keith Shaw have been awarded the Sam Aaronovitch prize.  The prize is for a paper about community involvement in neighbourhood regeneration programmes published in the journal Local Economy last year.  The prize underlines the way Fred's and Keith's work fits with the aims of the journal and its founder: bridging the academic and practitioner communities.
