News

Welcome

to both our latest newsletter and to the redesigned 4schools site. The reason for the redesign is two-fold. First, we have created so much new content since 4schools was launched in December 2004 that the old site was becoming a little bit unwieldly. Secondly, and more excitingly, since the start of the year we have merged with the Education teams at the two University Museums so that we can offer a better service to teachers and students. As a result the 4schools site has expanded to include details of the onsite and outreach visits we offer and the different curriculum areas that we cover. I hope that you like the changes and would welcome any comments that you have on the redesign. We are still working on uploading content so please bear with us!

With all best wishes for a successful term,

Sarah

Coming soon

We are just putting the finishing touches to a new Tudor area of the 4schools site. Thanks to the MLA Learning Links programme we worked with two local teachers to create a new trail of Tudor Durham and produce some new e-learning resources looking at work and occupations, how people lived and featuring sections that can be used to teach numeracy and literacy. Don't forget to bookmark the 4schools site so you can check when it's been released!
