When
we think of the life of the men serving in the First World War we probably
always think of them actually fighting. You may have some idea of what
it was like at the Front from reading accounts of battles or some of
the many First World War poems. We're going to use some accounts written
at the time to see if we can find out some more about what life was
like in combat. Find out how the army tried to prevent the men suffering
from frostbite, what a bombing
raid could be like, what conditions in the
trenches were like and what it was like to
go over the top and attack the enemy.
